Family & Community Health Sciences
Rutgers Cooperative Extension's programs in family and community health sciences (FCHS) extend and apply useful and practical research-based information to enable individuals and families to make informed choices and acquire needed skills to enhance the quality of their lives and their communities.
Besides offering a variety of educational programs to general county residents, FCHS programs are frequently presented in collaboration with local agencies, groups and organizations. Our classes are designed to teach residents the everyday skills they need to improve their family's health and financial wellness. Most are offered free-of-charge, or have a nominal fee. Take a look at some of our most popular offerings and contact us today to schedule one for your group, association or workplace. Or, call us to discuss your specific needs and we'll customize a program for you.
