The Morris County 4-H Teen Program is open to youth in grades 8-13 (one year out of high school.) There are many opportunities available for teens throughout the year.
Teen Clubs
Teen Council- Meets the 2nd Monday of the month from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the 4-H office. Contact Rachel Lyons for more information at lyons@broken.njaes.rutgers.edu omit "broken." before njaes.rutgers.edu.
State Teen Action Council
The State Teen Action Council (STAC) meets several times a year at Rutgers University. Each county is invited to send representaitves in grades 8-13 to serve. Participants provide advice and input to the State 4-H Youth Development Program, take part in election the election process of both the North and South Jersey Teen Representatives, and organize statewide events for 4-H members.

Fair - July 18-21
There are many opportunities for 4-H members to volunteer, participate, and present at the 4-H Fair. Check out the Fair website for more information!
Food and Fitness Ambassadors
Are you interested in health and exercise? Do just want to learn how to become a healthier you? Become a Food and Fitness Ambassador! These teens learn about healthing eating and exercise and teach those lessons to youth around the county. Contact the 4-H office to learn more.
Teen Leaders
Teens who have worked with a project area for several years and are learning more about organizing meetings can become Teen Leaders. If you would like to be a teen leader within your club, talk to your leader and contact the 4-H office to find out how!
State Events
Winter Camp
This event takes place at the end of January each year. Teens from several counties gather together at L.G. Cook 4-H Camp for a relaxing weekend full of fun. Activities include a wide range of crafts, team building games, sledding, and hiking.
North Jersey Teen Conference
This event takes place in March. A committee of teens and adults work together throughout the year to create a fun and educational weekend for teens in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Morris, Middlesex, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties.
NJ 4-H Teen Leadership Camp
Interested in strengthening leadership skills, meeting new people, and camping with your friends? Then don't miss the NJ 4-H Teen Leadership Camp. This event is held at Nomoco Campgrounds in Turkey Swamp Park (Monmouth County). This year, teens will enjoy an inspirational speaker, hands-on leadership workshops, and a large-scale community service project. The event is co-sponsored by NJ Speak Out for Military Kids! and the State Teen Action Council (STAC).
National Events
Citizenship Washington Focus
Citizenship Washington Focus is a leadership program conducted by the National 4-H Council for high school age youth. The program is run for seven consecutive weeks during the summer months. It is held at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland just outside Washington, D.C. Using Washington, D.C. as a working classroom delegates learn about the government, citizenship and civic education.
National 4-H Conference
National 4-H Conference is held each spring in Chevy Chase, MD at the National 4-H Center. This event provides an opportunity for 4-H members to become acquainted with government, meet with federal representatives, enhance leadership skills and provide feedback on the 4-H Youth Development Program. Interested youth must apply to be part of their state's delegation.
National 4-H Congress
National 4-H Congress is held in Atlanta, GA each November and provides an opportunity for 4-H members from across the nation to come together and learn about community inolvement, cultural diversity, and service to others while meeting new friends. Interested youth must apply to be part of their state's delegation.
